WCFA Welcomes Five New Members

WCFA is excited to welcome five distinguished PR experts as our newest Individual Members. Their varied backgrounds and deep experience promise to enrich our community with fresh perspectives and drive meaningful advancements in the field of communications. We look forward to the innovative ideas and valuable insights they will contribute.

André Williams (United States) - André Williams is an experienced strategic communication advisor with over 25 years of proven success in various industries (government, sport, media, medical, environmental, oil and gas, entertainment, education). He currently serves as the founder and principal consultant for the full-service firm Answer Key PR, where he advises clients on public relations and strategic communication strategies. André has been successful in creating strategic partnerships and cross-cultural communication campaigns for major companies and organizations like Sodexo, Shell, HCA Healthcare, Black Enterprise Magazine, and The National Urban League. He also teaches public relations and strategic communication courses at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette, and serves as a contributing writer to several online and print publications. André uses both his academic teachings and practical experience to present engaging conversations that highlight real-world solutions to the challenges of communicating effectively.

Katja Fašink (Slovenia) - As a director of Key7 communicational, cyber security, and risk management company, she orchestrates more than 30 high-end operatives from the critical energy infrastructure regionally and internationally, offering services to suit the most complex challenges of the public and private sectors. She is the PRCA Southeast Europe Network Slovenia Chapter Chair, awarded in 2023 with first place for crisis communication and corporate affairs by WCFA and PRO PR, nominated by Reuters, Charge, and Energy Awards. Contributing to science in communication, she's an author of the theory "Rubber Bullet" and a lecturer in the media, society, and communication field. Katja finished Oxford University's Corporate Affairs Academy (Saïd Business School), Artificial Intelligence, and the Climate Emergency program. She is a Ph.D. candidate who engages women, critical infrastructure communicators, in the region's significant dialogs of the energy sector. Katja Fašink was the Chief Communications Officer at ELES, a government-owned combined transmission and distribution system operator of the Republic of Slovenia, from 2017 to 2024, and CCO of ELES Group. 

Masoumeh Ghotbaddini (Iran) - With 20 years of experience as a journalist and reporter, Masoumeh Ghotbaddini have worked across various news agencies and local publications. For the past 6 years, Masoumeh have been part of the public relations team in the industrial and mining sector, serving at MEMRADCO - MIDHCO. Masoumeh holds multiple academic qualifications, including: Associate Degree in Information Technology (IT), Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology, Master’s Degree in Sociology and MBA with a specialization in Public Relations and Communication Management. In addition to her career in journalism and public relations, she is a magazine designer, book and text editor, and literary writer.

Olufemi Oguntamu (Nigeria) - Olufemi Oguntamu is a distinguished Media Strategist, Talent Manager, and Business Development Professional with over a decade of transformative experience in Public Relations, Digital Media, and the Creative Industry. With extensive expertise in brand communications, talent management, and digital strategy, Olufemi has a proven track record of revolutionizing brand engagement through cutting-edge content creation, digital media management, and community-building strategies. As the dynamic leader of Penzaarville Africa, Olufemi has championed the communication needs of iconic brands such as Google Nigeria, Bolt, and Wema Bank. His strategic acumen in crafting and executing forward-thinking campaigns has propelled these brands to industry leadership, setting new benchmarks for success. Renowned for his ability to lead cross-functional teams, foster strong industry partnerships, and deliver exceptional results in high-performance environments, Olufemi is a pioneer in the Nigerian digital creative space. 

Sikhanyisiwe Gumbo (Zimbabwe) - Sikhanyisiwe Gumbo is a Strategic Communications Consultant with a master’s level of education and over a decade of experience in developing and implementing comprehensive communication strategies for diverse clients, including international organizations, Government, NGOs, and the commercial and media sectors, both in consultancy and formal employment. Her experience in communications has broadened her perspective and enhanced her ability to communicate with a greater appreciation of detail and customize messages to suit culturally diverse audiences, including developing high-level communication strategies. She has honed her skills in protocol and diplomacy. A dynamic team leader, she has held key leadership positions in humanitarian and service-based international organizations, including President of the Waterfront Toastmasters Club (2018-2019) and President of the Rotary Club of Avondale (2023-2024), during which her club received the Club Excellence Award. She is effective in cross-cultural communication, tactful interactions and excellent public and global relations. She currently serves as the Strategic Communications Consultant for Zimbabwe’s Arrears Clearance and Debt Resolution Process under the Ministry of Finance, Economic Development, and Investment Promotion.
