Thabisile Phumo is an accredited Public Relations specialist with 25 years’ experience in communications and stakeholder engagement. She is the former President of the Public Relations Institute of Southern Africa and currently is the Senior VP and Head of Stakeholder Relations at Sibanye-Stillwater, the world's largest primary producer of platinum. Thabisile was recognized as the 7th leader in Mining Elites in Africa 2022. She has worked in corporate affairs at the University of South Africa, United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees, Commission for Gender Equality. Thabisile is Member of the Academic Advisory Board for Strategic Communication at the University of Johannesburg.
