Shelley J. Spector is the Founder and Director of the Museum of Public Relations, based in NYC, the world’s only institution dedicated to preserving the profession’s history. She founded her PR firm, Spector & Associates in 1991, earning more than 40 industry awards for clients such as AT&T, Bayer, HP, ITT, NeubergerBerman and Philips. Prior to starting her firm, she has worked for agencies including Ruder Finn and Hill & Knowlton, as well as the American Stock Exchange. She is a nationally recognized public relations counselor, educator, and author. Spector co-wrote Public Relations for the Public Good, the first book to explore how PR has impacted social movements.
